Dangote Petroleum Refinery has lowered the ex-depot price of petrol from N950 to N890 per litre, effective February 1, 2025.

The company attributed this adjustment to positive developments in the global energy market, as crude oil prices have dropped to $75.67 per barrel.

According to Dangote Petroleum Refinery, the reduction is expected to ease economic pressure by lowering the cost of goods and services. The company urged marketers to pass on the benefits to consumers, supporting the government’s goal of making Nigeria self-sufficient in refined petroleum products.

Additionally, the refinery plans to roll out new strategies in the coming weeks to ensure long-term benefits for marketers, consumers, and stakeholders.

Meanwhile, oil marketers, including MRS, are reportedly adjusting their prices to reflect the new ex-depot rate.
