Speaking on the matter, Governor Sani clarified that the decision was the result of six months of dialogue, with no financial incentives provided to the terrorists.

“If even one person were to be killed in Kaduna, it’s better for me to have the peace pact; otherwise, Almighty Allah will hold me accountable because I took an oath,” the governor stated.

He firmly stressed that no Naira had been given to the terrorists, adding that the peace pact was supported by traditional rulers and religious leaders in the state.

A key component of the peace agreement, according to Governor Sani, was the release of all captives held by the terrorists. He confirmed that approximately 200 individuals had been freed as part of the agreement, highlighting this as proof of the sincerity of the pact.

Governor Sani expressed optimism about the peace agreement’s success, noting the positive changes in the state, such as growing business and farming activities.

He reassured residents that his administration remains committed to ensuring peace and fostering development, with the safety and well-being of the people being his utmost priority.
