During the raid, authorities uncovered shocking evidence, including over 30 partitioned graves on the hotel’s top floor, a shrine, live ammunition, and other incriminating items.

The team leader disclosed that the top floor was used for both spiritual rituals and criminal operations.

This action is part of the state’s intensified efforts to dismantle criminal hideouts. Local residents expressed relief, commending the government for addressing a menace that had plagued the area.

Chief Press Secretary to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Mr. Christian Aburime, stated that the government is committed to ridding Anambra of criminal elements.

He added that the newly enacted Homeland Security Law of 2025 has empowered citizens and security agencies to take firm action. The government also plans to demolish more properties tied to criminal activities and prosecute their owners.
