The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Moses Godwill Ndiong and Abraham Udo, for their alleged involvement in a burglary in Okpokpong, Eket Local Government Area.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, the suspects were apprehended on January 20, 2025, around 4 a.m., following a tip-off from a concerned citizen. Acting swiftly on the information, the Commissioner of Police, Baba Mohammed Azare, dispatched officers to the scene.

“Upon interrogation, both suspects confessed to the crime,” the statement revealed. Items recovered from the suspects include a 65-inch LG Smart TV, a 2900 SUMEC generator, a 42-inch LG LED TV, a 32-inch LG LED TV, a Sony home theater system, a Toyota Camry with registration number KY984EKY, six pairs of shoes, electrical cables, as well as burglary tools such as a cutter and pliers.

The police commended the vigilance of the citizen who provided the crucial information that led to the arrest. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
