Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the sacked Secretary to the Kano State Government (SSG), has broken his silence following his dismissal by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, hinting at a looming revelation about perceived betrayals within the state.

In a viral video shared on Thursday, Bichi addressed his followers, stating, “I am done with work in good faith; now it’s not the time to talk, there is a lot to say. There are many things written, in audio and in video.”

Bichi further accused some individuals of deceit and betrayal, emphasizing his intention to expose their actions. “God crossed our path with people that are not trustworthy; time will come that we will bring things out for people to hear and understand who they are. They are not to be trusted, they don’t know anything but deceit and betrayal,” he added.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf recently dismissed Bichi along with his Chief of Staff and five commissioners. However, some of those affected were reappointed to new positions. Ladidi Garko, the former Commissioner of Culture and Tourism, now heads the Civil Service Commission, while the former Chief of Staff, Shehu Wada Sagagi, was appointed Commissioner for Commerce and Industry.

Bichi, a prominent member of the Kwankwasiyya movement, had played a key role in Yusuf’s victory during the 2023 general elections. Despite this, he faced allegations of leading the controversial “Abba Tsaya da Kafarka” movement, which advocated for the governor’s autonomy from his political mentor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Expressing gratitude to his supporters in Bichi, Bichi assured them that they would soon hear from him again. “What we want is to help people,” he said, hinting at further disclosures to come.
