The deceased, who was the wife of Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello, Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, died alongside her children in a fire that engulfed their home while the family was asleep. Only her husband survived the inferno.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, although personnel from the state fire service reportedly battled the flames for several hours before managing to bring it under control.

The remains of the housewife and her three children are scheduled for burial at Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque in Sifawa, with the funeral expected to take place at midnight at the family home of the SSG.

State Deputy Governor, Engr. Idris Mohammed Gobir, members of the state executive council, APC stalwarts, friends, and sympathizers have been arriving in Sifawa to pay their respects and offer condolences.
