“President Clinton was admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center this afternoon for testing and observation after developing a fever,” said Angel Urena, Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, on social media platform X. Urena added that the 78-year-old former president “remains in good spirits.”

Clinton has faced several health challenges over the years. In October 2021, he was hospitalized for five nights due to a blood infection. Earlier in 2004, he underwent a quadruple bypass operation after doctors discovered signs of extensive heart disease. Six years later, he had stents implanted in his coronary artery.

Following these health scares, Clinton adopted a vegetarian diet and has often spoken about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

In November 2022, his health was again in the spotlight when he tested positive for Covid-19. At the time, he described his symptoms as “mild” and expressed gratitude for being “vaccinated and boosted.”

Clinton served as the 42nd president of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Despite his presidency being overshadowed by scandals, he has remained active in humanitarian and diplomatic causes since leaving office.
