Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a further reduction in the ex-depot price of its premium motor spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, to N899.50 per litre.

Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of the Dangote Group, made this known in a statement on Thursday, noting that the price adjustment is aimed at providing relief for Nigerians during the festive season.

“Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) product to below N900 per litre to provide much-needed relief for Nigerians ahead of the holiday season,” Chiejina said.

The privately-owned refinery, which had earlier reduced the price to N970 per litre on November 24, introduced this new price to help reduce transportation costs during the holidays.

In addition to the price slash, the refinery is offering a special incentive for consumers. According to Chiejina, for every litre of petrol purchased with cash, customers can buy an additional litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.

“To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or Single Point Mooring (SPM) facility,” he said.

Chiejina further reiterated the refinery’s commitment to delivering high-quality petroleum products at competitive prices, stressing their environmental and engine-friendly nature.

He also highlighted the refinery’s role in ending Nigeria’s reliance on substandard and blended imported fuel products, which have posed significant risks to public health, machinery, and the environment.

With the reduction in petrol prices and the introduction of consumer-focused incentives, Dangote Refinery continues its efforts to ease the financial burden on Nigerians while setting new benchmarks for product quality and service delivery.
