Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has strongly warned his supporters not to say, “Abba should stand on his feet,” stressing that anyone who does so is not a true supporter.
Daily News 24 reports that the governor made this statement in an interview with journalists on Wednesday, urging his followers to disregard the rumors circulating about his relationship with NNPP leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and assuring them that there was no rift between them..

Governor Abba further addressed allegations that he had been avoiding Kwankwaso’s calls, a rumor that claimed he had ignored over 30 calls from the NNPP leader. “They say he called me 30 times, and I didn’t pick up. Where did they get this?” Abba questioned, dismissing the claims as false.
He reassured the public that his position as governor was a divine blessing, and he remains loyal to Kwankwaso, who facilitated it.
Governor Abba also addressed his decision not to pursue legal action against the media outlets that published the rumors. “If not for the love and respect I have for journalists, I would have taken the person who wrote this article to court. But I, and the honorable leader, know it is a lie,” he said
He further appealed to his supporters across Nigeria, urging them not to be troubled by the reports, and made it clear he does not want to hear any of them saying “Abba should stand on his feet.” According to the governor, anyone who says this is not a true supporter.
