Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has donated N5 million to victims of the recent attack on Gadan Mosque in Gezawa Local Government in Kano.

The former governor also gave 50 bags of rice to the victims.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that one Shafiu Abuvakar, 38, on May 18, set the Mosque during the dawn prayer.

The dawn attack left 18 people dead and 25 others injured.

Ganduje, who was represented by a delegation led by the APC chairman in Kano State, Abdullahi Abbas, visited the victims in the hospital and the affected Mosque.

The national chairman expressed his condolences and prayed for the souls of those who died in the attack, while wishing those injured quick recovery.

He also promised to rebuild the burnt Mosque.

NAN reports that the seven injured victims still in the hospital got a donation of N50,000 each, while N5 million was donated to families of those killed.
