Farida, a popular Lagos State socialite and skincare vendor, attempted suicide on Thursday at the Third Mainland Bridge.

The socialite, also known as King Phreedah, has recently been in the news due to reports of her failed marriage.

According to online reports, Frida’s husband packed out of their marital home to meet a side chick he was dating prior to their marriage.

Among the reports of Frida’s marital crisis, videos shared by Goldmyn TV show the moment some people were apprehended, preventing Frida from committing suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge.

A man jumps into Lagoon

Recall that in August 2023, Daily News 24 reported that A yet-to-be-identified man had reportedly jumped into the lagoon in Lagos State.

The incident took place on Tuesday, with the man said to have jumped from the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge.

The spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, as well as the Head of Public Education of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, Amodu Shakiru, said they received the report of the incident.

According to Mr. Shakiru, his office got a distress call at about 2:43 p.m. and immediately moved to the location of the incident with a view to rescuing the man.
