Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, inaugurated on Monday 22 members of the state’s Community Promotion Council (CPC).

This is contained in a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of the state, Hassan Musa Fagge.

Ganduje noted that the Community Promotion Council (CPC) was anchored to stimulate the community spirit underpinning the overrall development of the State.

According to him, the council was established to encourage amongst Kano people self reliance and communal participation in development activities which also stimulate community interest in the maintenance of general security of the state.

“The Community Promotion Council should serve as a focal point where communities will be imparted with requisite education to garner their support and interest in government projects located in their areas he said.”

DailyNews24 reports that the governor was represented by his deputy and APC gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, it the conference room of the deputy governor’s office at Government House Kano.

He went on to say that the objective of his administration is to initiate good policies that will promote unity, progress and sustainable development in the state, therefore; it was on this premise that members of the CPC were meticulously selected to accomplish the daunting task.

“You were chosen to reflect various strata of our society as enshrined in the Community Promotion Council Law 2022.

“I therefore urge you to be committed and perform creditably with the interest of the state to achieve success,” Ganduje explained.

In his acceptance speech, Chairman of the CPC, Alh. Hafiz Sani Mai Daji assured that he and other members would work diligently according to terms of reference of their working schedule.
