A female sex worker was found dead in a hotel after she was allegedly murdered by an unknown customer in Zaria.
The body of the lady, Blessing John, was discovered at the hotel room two days after she lodge the hotel on Sunday.
The hotel is renown to have served as bear joint and an accommodations for female sex workers who occupied the lodge on rent basis.
A neighbor to the hotel who sought for anonymity said “the lady was suspected to have been killed by her customer about 2 days back, before the corpse was discovered, on Sunday at about 5.30pm.
“It was after perseving an unusual odour that attention was given to her room and subsquently invited the police who broke the door and bring out the corpse.
“The police therefore picked and deposited the body at ABU teaching hospital Shika Zaria.” He said.
Sources further confirmed that the lady who hailed from Benue state had moved to Zaria newly, for not more than three weeks and engaged in sex hawking, as her only business.
It was learnt that the manager of the hotel has been arrested and detain in police custody for interrogation.
Effort to contact the Kaduna state police public relations officer, Mohammed Jalinge was not successful as his mobile phone can not be reached as at the time of filing the report.
