The Senator representing Kano South Senatorial zone Kabiru Gaya has proudly stated that he is being voted for by people in his constituency irrespective of the political parties they belong to because he adds value to their lives.

He gave this information in Kano on Monday while responding to questions in a media parley organized by the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the state.

He gave this as the reason why he has been in the senate for long and will continue to be there.

“Ranking in the Senate is dependent upon the number of times one has been there.

“It is based on this consideration that one is appointed to juicy committees where he can find more opportunities to assist and support his people.

“In my senatorial district people vote for me without any consideration to the political party they belong to.

“I have won elections in a place in my senatorial district that is predominated by an opposition party because I am their choice” he stated.

Gaya gave the reason why the people have confidence in his person and always vote him back saying, he has provided them with skills, empowerment and infrastructure that have touched on their lives.

He ensured that in his constituency, the peoples’ lives are touched in education, health, infrastructure that include classrooms, roads bridges, boreholes and health centres, farming, skills acquisition as well as empowerment. He has also provided postgraduate scholarships and sponsored bills that have affected the lives of Nigerians.

Gaya is proud of the people of his constituency because they are aware that it is for their benefit for him to get to higher levels at the senates because it spells more opportunities for them.
