Man arrested for ‘Killing Baby’ in Adamawa

The Adamawa state police command has apprehended a 40-year-old man, Barnabas Abduneza, for allegedly killing a baby in Kadamti village of Numan local government area of the state.

SP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje, Police Public Relation Officer of the command, announced this in a statement, saying the police also recovered a black face mask, knife, Bow/Arrow, and some dangerous weapons.

According to the statement, the baby was killed following an attack on the mother who sustained some severe injuries on the 29th of September 2022.

“The Command operatives attached to Numan Division, Men of operation Farauta and good Samaritans swung into action and apprehend One in connection with the offense.”

“The suspect Barnabas Abduneza 40 years, a resident of Kpasham village, Demsa local government area was arrested following credible and reliable information.

“The Commissioner of Police, SK Akande, commended the gallant efforts of the divisional police officer of Numan, the Men of operation Farauta, and the good people of Numan LGA for cooperating with the division for the successful arrest.”

The CP has directed the Deputy Commissioner CID to take over the investigation and ensure delightful prosecution.
