Musa David, a twenty-five-year-old student at Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic (WUFP), Birnin Kebbi, has reportedly committed suicide.

David allegedly committed suicide while detained by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Birnin Kebbi.

The NSCDC, on the other hand, has denied the allegation, which was widely circulated in the state capital yesterday.

Akeem Adeyemi, an NSCDC spokesperson, described the incident as unfortunate.

He claimed that David’s outlandish behavior compelled his aunty, Mrs Augustina Galadima, who lives in the Gangare Hostel in Badariya, Birnin Kebbi metropolis, to seek the assistance of an NSCDC officer, who allegedly took him to the corps’ office for safety.

He warned the public about the dangers of spreading rumors and advised them to always verify information before sharing it with others.

According to DAILY POST, late Musa was suspected of taking some substances, suspected to be hard drugs, prior to carrying out the act.

His body had since been returned to his relatives for burial.
