The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Caucus meeting is scheduled for Wednesday in Abuja, barring any last-minute changes.

According to a statement issued by the PDP National Director of Publicity, Chinwe I. Nnorom, the meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Akwa Ibom State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.

It also revealed that the Board of Trustees (BoT) and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings are both scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2022, in Abuja.

According to the statement, “the PDP holds the following meetings: National Caucus – Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at the Akwa Ibom State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.

“Board of Trustees (BoT) – Thursday, September 08, 2022, at the NEC Hall; by 11:00 am.

“National Executive Committee (NEC) Meeting – Thursday, September 08, 2002; at the NEC Hall; by 02:00 pm”.

Remember that the meetings were originally scheduled for Wednesday, August 10, and Thursday, August 11, 2022, but were postponed until further notice.

They were postponed due to concerns that a faction of Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike’s party leaders would use the meetings to oust the embattled PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and advance the interests of the aggrieved governors.

The campaign council, finance, and the state of the party are all on the agenda for the PDP organs’ meetings, Daily Post reports.
