A member of the House of Representatives for Dawakin Tofa/Tofa and Rimingado federal constituency, Honorable Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe has called on Muslim Ummah to promote peace and unity.

Honorable Jobe in his Sallah message contained In a statement, said peace and unity are the bedrock of development of a society.

Jobe added that Nigeria as a country with diverse tribes and ethnicities needs peace and unity to prosper.

“Peace and unity are critical factors needed to move the country to greater heights. No matter how good the leaders will be, without peace and unity, they cannot achieve anything.

“A nation with multiple tribes and ethnicities like Nigeria can never be developed without peace and unity among its people. We should, therefore, utilize our diversity to develop our nation.

“Each tribe or ethnicity in this country has something unique to contribute to developing this country. So, it is only when we put our heads together that we can harness our potential and develop the country,” he said.

Hon. Jobe appealed to Muslim Ummah to adhere to the virtues of Islam and promote peace and unity in their dealings with followers of other religions.

He also called on Muslims to exercise their civic right by obtaining permanent voter cards, noting that acquiring the voters’ cards is necessary as without them no one can participate in the forthcoming general elections.
