The presidential aspirant under the People Redemption Party (PRP) Dr Abdulfattah Durojaiye has announced his withdrawal from the contest sighting internal squabbles as his reason.

Mr Durojaiye announced his decision in Kano during a joint press briefing.

He said he will continue to support the people and empower them.

2023: I’ll consider entrepreneurship, education to end thuggery – Dankoli, PRP guber aspirant

He however noted that he still remains with the PRP which he says is having good ideals manned by bad personalities.

“When I announced my intention to aspire under the PRP I came with a purpose, I have the intention of solving the problems of Nigeria.

“Unfortunately the party is heavily fractionalised. I made efforts to unite the factions but those under are not ready.

“There are those nursing selfish interests while we have invested our time and energy but to no avail. Therefore it is not possible to continue under this situation. We have to suspend our intention and restrategize and will still be supporting the development of my country.

“The PRP is like a beautiful car with a nocked engine. We can’t enter and just sit in the car, we have to repair the engine and make it move forward.

“I therefore withdraw form contesting for primaries and will reinvest our energy in the people. In the next few years we are going to be supporting the people as we have been doing” he declared.
