Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed all political appointees running for elective offices in the forthcoming 2023 general elections to resign from their respective positions.

The directive said “they are given between now to Monday 18th April, 2022, to resign.”

Ganduje appoints Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries

Ganduje leaves for Dubai, Gawuna takes over as Acting Governor

To comply with Section 84 (12) of the newly amended Electoral Act.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar.
