An All-elites Forum from Kano North Senatorial District, has appointed governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state, as its Grand Patron and Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Murtala Sule Garo, as its Patron, for the overall development of the area.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Forum Nu’uman Barau Dambatta (mni), during a courtesy visit to the governor at Government House,  represented by, Sulaiman Dan Azumi Gwarzo.

According the Chairman, the Forum was “essentially formed to enhance togetherness, unity and peaceful coexistence among individuals and communities, within the 13 local government areas of Kano North Senatorial District.”

According to him, could be achieved through the general development of the zone in the areas of education, agriculture, health, infrastructure, security and entrepreneurship/empowerment of the youth and women for self-reliance.

Being the most important and most prominent person from the zone, governor Ganduje’s appointment as the Grand Patron, was greeted applaud by all members, followed by Garo, who was appointed Patron

Chairman expresses that, the forum comprises of very prominent politicians, technocrats, businessmen, clerics, women of substance, among other relevant individuals and groups.

He also added that, “the forum is blessed with your humble self (referring to the governor), the Speaker, State House of Assembly, many members of your cabinet, serving and retired Heads of Service, serving and retired Permanent Secretaries that hail from the Senatorial District, among many others.”

In his acceptance remarks, governor Ganduje applauded the effort and described the move as “good omen for the unity of the state through uniting the zones and the state in general.”

He further explained how relevant and accepted was the move “I am aware that other Senatorial Districts are aiming at that. It is happening also at the national level.”

Encouraging that, Kano state government will not hesitate to partner with the Forum, assuring his acceptance as the Grand Patron of the Forum.
