Families of 49 Bureau De Change operators have staged a peaceful protest in Kano demanding justice against their continued detention.

They storm streets and later converged at the Kano Government House carrying placards with different inscriptions, expressing their grievances to government to order the release of their husbands.

The Family members continue to show their worries calling on the government to secure their release.

The operators were arrested and detained during a joint security operatives nationwide crackdown on operators of the open foreign exchange market in April, 2021.

The were alleged to have been facilitating transfer of money to Boko Haram terrorists.

The women who were given access to see their detained family members in February 2021 express dismay over their detention.
