The Kano State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo has empowered 1, 275 young men and women drawn from Kabo Local Government Area of the state.
The commissioner hosted Kano state Governor’s wife, Professor Hafsat Ganduje alongside Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa amongst other dignitaries.
Murtala Garo supported various groups with cars, motorcycles and generating sets.
According to Garo, “we are empowering 1, 275 young men and women whom were trained in various skills acquisition programmes.
“We are also donating 5 cars to various associations in Kabo Local Government; Hisba, Ulamas, Former Councillors and some female politicians.” He said.
Other items include sewing machines and bags of fertilizers for the farmers.
