Super Eagles coach, Austin Eguavoen is sticking with the attacking force opf Kelechi Iheanacho and Taiwo Awoniyi as they line up against Sudan on Saturday.

Addressing journalists on Friday, Eguavoen said he hopes all the players remain fit and healthy to make selection easier for him.

Okoye, Aina, Omeruo, Ekong, Zaidu, Ndidi, Aribo, Iheanacho, Simon, Chukwueze and Awoniyi made up the XI against Egypt while the likes of Akpeyi, Uzoho, Ebuehi, Iwobi, Nwakali, Ejuke, Umar, Onyekuru, Musa, Onyeka, Ndah and Ajayi sat on the bench.

And Eguavoen was asked if he intends to make changes to the team that played against Egypt. The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner said, “That’s a little bit hard to say, we still have twenty-four hours.

“We hope that everybody stays healthy and fit and then tomorrow we will see the lineup.”

Eguavoen also revealed that defender Chidozie Awaziem will not be part of the match because of an ankle injury.

“I know he has an ankle injury and will be back very soon.”

However, even with the absence of Awaziem, the team still boast of adequate cover in central defence. The partnership of William Troost-Ekong and Kenneth Omeruo was fantastic in the game against the Pharaohs.

Although Omeruo picked up an injury in the game against Egypt, he returned to training on Thursday. The Super Eagles can also count on the likes of Semi Ajayi and Olisa Ndah.
