Kano poly expels 83 students, rusticates 44 over exams misconduct

The Polytechnic Academic Board (PAB), Kano State Polytechnic, has approve the expulsion of 83 students for examination misconduct and forgery of results.

Fourty-four students were rusticated, 25 warned while ten were exonerated from their offences.

A statement issued on Wednesday by Auwal Isma’il Bagwai, the Public Relations Officer of the institution said the decision was taken at the 90th meeting of the board which took place on Monday, November 29, 2021.

The Deputy Registrar Academic, Mal. Garba Isma’il Fagge according to the statement emphasised that the Institution has zero tolerance to examination misconducts and fake results.

Bagwai quoted Fagge reiterating that the newly admitted students’ credentials presented to the institution during registration process will be verified, adding that anyone with the fake result will be expelled.

He finally advised students to read the Students’ Hand Book and any other relevant document to guide their stay in the Institution, urging them to  endeavor to attend their respective school/departmental orientation programme.
