Following the numerous controversies surrounding the intake of the deadly Covid-19 Vaccines, the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Kaduna State Chapter, is set to sensitise the public on the talked about of the vaccines.

This was disclosed by the State Chairman of the Society, Pharm( Mrs) Talatu Uwa Ebune, at a press briefing to kick-start activities for the commemoration of the World Pharmacists Day in Kaduna.

Pharmacist Ebune said as Pharmacists, their top priority is to contribute progressively to the health well-being of the people of Kaduna state.

According to her, In Kaduna State, Pharmacists play significant roles and are still doing more during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

“The World Pharmacist Day observed across the world Pharmacist celebrates every 25th September to promote their commitments to organise activities that promote and advocate for the role of the pharmacists in improving the health well-being of the people”.

“As trusted partners, we aim to contribute progressively to the health well-being of the good people of a Kaduna State. That is why one of our Sub-themes for this year’s public lecture is on Building public trust in vaccines safety and efficacy. This, we think, will help in educating the public to overcome vaccine hesitancy,” She noted.

She added that the state chapter would be ensured that their services are of best practices.

Speaking on the theme of this year celebration,” Pharmacy: Always trusted for your health”, Pharmacist Ebune explained that it is essential because it is a central part of all human relationships and a fundamental element of social capital.

She stressed that trust is also essential to healthcare because there is a significant association between confidence in the healthcare profession and patients’ health outcomes.

She further disclosed that the State chapter has lined up many activities to celebrate the day, including Rallies, Lectures, and drug exhibits.
