The decision was disclosed on Tuesday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, who said the action forms part of ongoing efforts to reposition the government for improved efficiency and effective service delivery in line with the governor’s New Niger agenda.

According to the statement, the disengagement of the advisers is intended to give the governor room to reorganise key portfolios and streamline operations across ministries, departments and agencies. The move, the governor believes, will help strengthen performance and ensure better coordination within the state’s governance framework.

Governor Bago announced the decision during his first executive council meeting with newly inaugurated commissioners at the Government House in Minna. However, no details were provided on possible replacements or fresh appointments.

Bologi Ibrahim noted that the restructuring exercise is part of a broader administrative overhaul designed to enhance productivity and accountability within the state government. He expressed appreciation to the affected advisers for their service and wished them well in their future endeavours.
