The statement was made by the State Commissioner for Justice during a working session with the Commissioner of Police, CP Bakori, where officials discussed ways to enforce the law fairly and systematically.
The Commissioner explained that the ban aims to tackle security challenges in Kano city, citing the use of commercial motorcycles in crimes and the congestion they cause on major roads. He stressed that LIFAN riders are free to operate as long as they adhere to traffic laws and safety guidelines.
CP Bakori assured that the police would enforce the directive with fairness, warning that commercial motorcycle operators who flout the law would face consequences, while LIFAN users would continue their activities without disruption.
