The Consumer Crotection Council of Nigeria have discovered shops producing adulterated palm oil in Kano state. The Kano state Consumer Protection Council (KSCPC) said it discovered certain shops at Galadima Market in Sabon Gari area of the state where adulterated palm oil is produced and sold to unsuspecting individuals.

Alhaji Baffa Dan’agundi the Acting Managing Director of KSCPC made the discovery known via a statement released council’s spokesperson, Musbahu Yakasai, in the State on Wednesday.

Acording to him, the adulterated palm oil discovered include 11 drums and 89 21-litre Jerrycans. They were confistcated and taken to the council’s warehouse

He further called on various associations of manufacturers and traders as well as residents of the state to support the effort of the Consumer Protection Council which was geared towards sanitising the state against such dastardic acts by dishonest individuals in the State [NAN]
