Ten people, mostly women, were abducted on Monday evening when suspected bandits invaded Biresawa and Tsundu villages in Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

The attack occurred around 8 p.m. as the assailants moved into the two neighbouring villages. From Biresawa, they took six people including five women and one man, while four others including three women and one man were seized from Tsundu.
Witnesses said the attackers rode in on ten motorcycles, each carrying three men, and reportedly came from Rimaye in Katsina State. They added that the 45 kilometre road leading to the area remains in poor condition, delaying quick response.
As of the time of filing this report, the Kano State Police Command had not released an official statement.
The Kano-Katsina border region has recorded repeated attacks in recent months, including killings, kidnappings and livestock thefts, heightening concerns among residents.
