Popular Nigerian singer Davido has lost a close associate of his, to suspected heart failure shortly after he sought medical attention to breathing difficulty.
Habeeb Uthman, popularly known as Obama DMW is a known affiliate of Davido and had been with him since 2017.
Obama BMW drove himself to the hospital to seek medical attention to his condition before he was confirmed dead on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
He was admitted to the hospital and unfortunately died a few hours later.
Aside from being known to be around Davido, Obama DMW also founded his music label Obama Music Worldwide (OMW) and was a music executive cum artistes’ manager
Born in Lagos, Obama DMW had been in the entertainment industry before lining up with Davido and afterwards, founded OMW
Reacting to the demise of Obama, Peruzzi, a singer under Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) record label took to his Instagram handle and posted an emoji indicating a heartbreak and wrote “Lord have mercy”, “1 love 1 life”, “That’s a real 1 gone BTW”.
Obama DMW is among two of Davido’s closest associates, who had died in the previous year. In December 2020, Davido’s bodyguard Tijani Olamilekan aka TeeJay died after a battle with an illness. Also In 2017, the famous singer lost three friends to death in a week.
Obama DMW will be buried today according to Muslim rites.
