According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Livestock Development on Thursday, the screening of eligible students will be jointly carried out by the ministry, the Office of the Head of Service, and the Kano Veterinary Medical Students Association.

The statement, signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Halima Sani Gadanya, disclosed that successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend along with other allowances under the programme.

The screening exercise is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, November 11, and all veterinary students of Kano origin have been urged to coordinate with their national association to participate.

The ministry noted that the approval reflects Governor Yusuf’s continued commitment to promoting animal health, which directly contributes to improved human health across the state.

It also expressed appreciation to the governor for his support towards advancing livestock and veterinary development in Kano.
