The Kano State Government has donated three brand new buses to Kano Pillars Football Club to support the team’s transportation needs in the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

According to a statement released by the club’s Media Directorate on Thursday, the vehicles were presented on the directive of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. The donation includes a luxurious 29-seater Marcopolo bus for players, a Hummer bus, and a Sharon vehicle.
Speaking on the significance of the gesture, the Secretary to the State Government, Ibrahim Farouk, said the donation demonstrates the government’s commitment to promoting youth empowerment and sports development. He also urged young people in the state to remain law-abiding and embrace the spirit of sportsmanship.
The Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Mustapha Kwankwaso, commended the governor for the intervention, describing it as a milestone that would boost the morale of the team and its supporters.
Similarly, the club’s General Manager, Ahmed Musa, expressed gratitude to the state government, assuring that the players would redouble their efforts to reclaim the club’s past glory in Nigerian football.
Kano Pillars are set to face Niger Tornadoes at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina on Saturday, October 26, 2025, in their matchday 10 fixture of the NPFL.
