This was disclosed in a statement issued by Sa’adatu Suleiman, Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board.
According to the statement, those affected include the Head of the Health Department in Kabo, the Officer in Charge of Immunization, representatives of foreign partner organizations, and other health workers directly involved in the exercise.
Their suspension, the ministry said, was part of efforts to ensure accountability and maintain the integrity of the vaccination campaign, which is aimed at curbing the spread of measles and rubella among children.
To prevent disruption of the program, the Commissioner for Health has approved the appointment of new officers to immediately take charge of the campaign in the affected area.
