The Kano State Police Command says it has arrested two suspects in connection with a violent armed robbery attack that took place last month at Bera Estate, Chevron, Lagos.

Police spokesperson SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the development in a statement on Saturday, said the suspects were picked up on September 11, 2025, during an intelligence-led operation at Na’ibawa Quarters in Kano.
The arrested men were identified as 25-year-old Mathew Adewole of Na’ibawa Quarters and 31-year-old Mukhtar Muhammad of Unguwa Uku Quarters, both residents of Kano.
According to investigators, Adewole confessed to attacking a resident of Bera Estate, identified as Lil-Kesh, on August 19. The victim sustained a severe neck injury during the attack. Adewole was also said to have forced the victim to transfer N2.12 million through his mobile phone to an account belonging to his accomplice, Muhammad.
The suspects have since been transferred to the Lagos State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.
Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended the tactical team for what he described as diligent work and praised residents for their cooperation. He assured that the Command will continue strengthening intelligence gathering and community partnerships in line with directives from the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
