The Kano State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in tackling motor vehicle theft, recovering two stolen vehicles and arresting three suspects involved in organized crime.

According to the Police Command, a Toyota Corolla reported stolen on 4th August 2025 from a car stand on Katsina Road was traced to Kabuga Flyover and recovered on 30th August. The suspect, Zubairu Usman, was apprehended following thorough investigations.
In a separate case, a Toyota Hilux stolen on 25th August from a residence on Hadejia Road was retrieved through collaboration with the Taraba State Police Command. The vehicle was found with a car dealer, Yallah Kadara, who admitted purchasing it from the main suspect, Alamin Tasiu. Two accomplices, Jacob Augustine and Sa’adu Bello, were also arrested for their role in the theft and resale of the vehicle.
Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, praised the detectives for their professionalism and encouraged residents to stay vigilant, reporting suspicious activities promptly to the nearest police station or via emergency contacts.
