The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano State Command, has pledged to work with Kano United Bikers on a joint drug awareness campaign as part of the upcoming Super-bike Club Association of Nigeria (SCAN) 2025 event scheduled to take place in Kano this October.

This assurance was given on Thursday, September 4, 2025, when the NDLEA Commander in Kano, ACGN A.I. Ahmad, received a delegation from Kano United Bikers, led by their chairman, Salisu Abubakar Tangalan.
During the visit, the bikers sought the command’s collaboration in using the annual SCAN gathering as a platform to sensitize the public on the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking. They stressed the importance of leveraging the visibility of the event to spread awareness across different communities.
In his response, Commander Ahmad commended the bikers for their initiative and restated the agency’s commitment to drug prevention campaigns. He encouraged the riders to take every opportunity during the event and in their routine activities to highlight the risks of drug use and the legal consequences associated with trafficking.
The NDLEA boss further assured that the agency will work hand-in-hand with the bikers to ensure drug education remains a core part of the October program.
On his part, Tangalan expressed gratitude for the agency’s support, noting that Kano United Bikers are ready to partner with NDLEA not only for the SCAN event but also in future campaigns aimed at safeguarding society from the dangers of substance abuse.
