The announcement was made by the Board’s Director General, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, during a meeting with Board members, management staff, and Local Government Hajj Center officers at the board’s office.

According to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), the deposit for the 2026 Hajj has been set at eight million, five hundred thousand naira (N8,500,000). Payments will be collected through bank drafts submitted via Local Government Hajj Center officers.

Kano State has been allocated a total of 5,684 seats for next year’s pilgrimage. The collection of deposits began immediately and will continue until October 5, 2025, when the final Hajj fare will also be announced.

Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u urged all intending pilgrims to make their deposits on time, stressing that applicants must provide eight passport-sized photographs and a valid international passport as part of the registration process.

In his remarks, the Board Chairman, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, prayed that Allah grants all pilgrims the means to fulfill their Hajj obligations. He also called on Local Government Hajj Center officers to ensure proper management and secure allocation of seats in their areas.
