The Kano State Police Command has arrested two suspected motor vehicle thieves and recovered three stolen vehicles in separate incidents across the state.

This is contained in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa. According to the release, a Hyundai Elantra (2011 model, ash-colored) reported stolen in Badawa Quarters, Kano, was recovered in Zaria, Kaduna State, on August 23, 2025. Earlier, a Pontiac Vibe (2006 model, ash-colored) reported stolen in Sabon Gari Quarters was recovered in Adamawa State.
In a third case, a Siena Bus (sky blue) stolen from Bauchi State was intercepted after a tip-off from a good Samaritan. The Wudil Division Police patrol promptly arrested two suspects, Yunusa Muhammad, 35, and Abdulwahab Bala, 23, both from Bauchi State.
The suspects will face court proceedings once investigations conclude, and the recovered vehicles will be returned to their rightful owners. The State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended the professionalism of the officers and urged residents to continue reporting suspicious activities via local police stations or the provided contact numbers.
