Speaking during the commissioning of the new facilities, the Chairman of the Chapel, Murtala Adewale, said the initiative was part of efforts to create a better working environment for members and ensure they have the tools required for timely and accurate reporting.

“With the return of digital TV and provision of high-speed internet, our members can now follow live events, monitor developments across the globe, and file their stories with ease,” Adewale explained, stressing that modern technology is essential for balanced journalism in today’s digital era.

The upgrades, according to him, also reflect the chapel’s broader welfare programs which include the renovation of its secretariat and provision of other working tools. Adewale noted that such projects demonstrate the leadership’s commitment to supporting members’ professional growth and aligning with global standards in journalism.

Journalists welcomed the development, saying it will not only enhance their productivity but also improve the quality of reportage coming from Kano State.
