Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved fresh appointments aimed at strengthening education and rural development in the state.

According to a statement on Wednesday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor appointed Malam Adamu Yusuf Tofa as Senior Special Assistant on Tsangaya Education.
Malam Tofa, who once served as Vice Chairman of Tofa Local Government, is a graduate of Islamic Studies and is widely recognized for his dedication to the Tsangaya system of Islamic learning, which caters to Almajiri pupils.
The governor also named Hon. Surajo Ahmad Chedi as Senior Special Assistant on Rural and Community Development. Chedi, a three-term Supervisory Councillor with extensive grassroots experience, holds a degree in Public Administration and has decades of involvement in community development initiatives.
