The nominations were announced on Thursday through a statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

Ramat, an electrical engineer with a PhD in Strategic Management, was also directed to assume the role in an acting capacity pending Senate confirmation, to prevent a leadership gap in the commission.

In addition to Ramat’s nomination, President Tinubu also named Mr. Abubakar Yusuf as Commissioner for Consumer Affairs and Dr. Fouad Olayinka Animashun as Commissioner for Finance and Management Services.

The President urged the nominees to apply their expertise and work ethic in supporting his administration’s drive for power sector reform.
