The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has presented a set of operational vehicles to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to enhance their capacity in maintaining security across the state.

The presentation, which took place at the Government House in Kwankwasiyya City, is part of the state government’s broader initiative to support security agencies with modern tools for safeguarding lives and property.

The donated vehicles, equipped for diverse functions such as patrol, emergency response, and surveillance, are expected to improve the overall efficiency of the Civil Defence Corps in tackling security challenges.

Speaking during the event, the Commissioner for Security in Kano State said the gesture aligns with the administration’s commitment to providing necessary logistics and support for security agencies. He urged the Civil Defence personnel to use the vehicles responsibly and ensure they are strictly deployed for official duties.

He also assured that the government would continue to invest in resources aimed at promoting lasting peace and safety in the state.

In his response, the NSCDC Commandant in Kano State appreciated Governor Yusuf for the timely intervention, noting that the vehicles would play a critical role in boosting patrol operations and protecting communities.
