Following the upgrade, candidates who had applied for NCE programmes are advised to log into the JAMB portal, complete the Green Card process, and switch to a degree programme of their choice. Admission into 100 level requires a UTME score of at least 150 and five O-Level credits including English and Mathematics. Holders of NCE certificates may apply for direct entry into 200 level.

To ensure a smooth transition, the university has constituted a staff placement committee which has already commenced its work.

In addition, the statement noted that results for all NCE merger students sponsored by the Kano State Government are ready for collection beginning Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

The university encouraged prospective students to take advantage of the new programmes, describing the institution as one of the most peaceful and academically sound in Kano and beyond.
