Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the redeployment of senior officials across major government agencies as part of ongoing efforts to boost administrative efficiency and environmental reforms.

This was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
According to the new postings, Dr. Muhammad S. Khalil has been moved from the Watershed, Erosion, and Climate Change Management Agency (WECCMA) to serve as the Acting Managing Director of the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB).
Similarly, Lamin Mukhtar Hassan, who previously served as Deputy Managing Director at REMASAB, has been reassigned to the same position under the Sustainable Kano Project.
Also affected by the changes is Mustapha Sulaiman Mainasara, who now takes up the role of Senior Special Reporter for the Kano Afforestation Program (KNAP) after serving in the same capacity at REMASAB.
In addition, Dr. Mahmoud Abba has been appointed as the Acting Executive Secretary of WECCMA.
The redeployments take immediate effect.
