Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has announced that the late former President Muhammadu Buhari will be buried on Tuesday in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, the governor said the decision followed consultations with the family of the deceased. He stated that Buhari’s body is expected to arrive from London by 12 p.m., with burial scheduled for 2 p.m. the same day.
Governor Radda extended his condolences to the people of Katsina State, Nigerians at large, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the passing of the former leader. He prayed for God to grant the bereaved family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari died on Sunday, June 13, 2025, in London while receiving treatment at a private clinic.
