The confirmation was made by his Principal Private Secretary, Alhaji Mustapha Abdullahi Junaidu, through a statement posted on his verified Facebook page on Sunday.

Junaidu revealed that Dantata’s body would be flown from Abu Dhabi to Madina, where final rites would be conducted. He added that the Janazah (funeral prayer) is scheduled to hold on Monday morning.

He further explained that the delay in the burial process was due to the weekend, which slowed down the necessary approvals and documentation.

Meanwhile, a special funeral prayer (Salatul Ga’ib) was held in Kano on Saturday, led by the Chairman of the Kano Council of Ulama, Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil. He was joined by the Commandant General of the Kano Hisbah Board, Sheikh Ibrahim Daurawa.

The prayer was attended by several dignitaries, including the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, members of the Kano State Executive Council, and prominent personalities from the business community.

Alhaji Aminu Dantata passed away in the early hours of Saturday in Dubai at the age of 94 after a prolonged illness. He is remembered for his immense contributions to commerce, philanthropy, and national development.
