Gov. Bala Mohammad of Bauchi State on Tuesday reiterated his commitment towards protecting citizenry against all forms of injustice in the state.

Mohammed disclosed this in Bauchi when farmers from Toro Local Government Area of the state presented their petition on land crisis at Gwaljamo forest in the area.

The governor, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr Aminu Gamawa, sympathised with the farmers on the crisis affecting them in the forest.

He said that as a responsible government, his administration would study their petition critically with a view to finding a lasting solution to the crisis.

“I welcome you to Bauchi Government House on behalf of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State who asked me to be with you on his behalf.

“Toro Local Government is so important to Bauchi State and as such, we assure you that we will study your petition presented to us, so that we can solve the matter amicably,” he said.

The governor, however, appreciated the visitors for conducting themselves peacefully in the process and urged them not to relent in supporting his administration for the provision of needed social amenities.

The leader of the delegation, Ibrahim Nabardo, said the visit to the governor was to present their petition on the crisis rocking the forest and for government’s intervention.
