The directive was contained in a press statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, following an unscheduled visit by the governor to the institution.

During the visit, Governor Yusuf assessed the state of infrastructure and interacted with both students and staff. He commended the students for their impressive fluency in both French and Chinese but expressed concern over the poor condition of the school’s facilities.

“I’m here on an unscheduled visit to see, firsthand, the living conditions of our students and teachers, as well as to assess the infrastructural state of the school,” the governor said. “I am very impressed with the students’ performance, especially their fluency in speaking Chinese. However, I am concerned about the deplorable state of the infrastructure.”

He then directed the Commissioner for Works to commence immediate renovation of all dilapidated structures within the school premises.

Governor Yusuf emphasized that the rehabilitation aligns with his administration’s broader goal of revitalizing the education sector and ensuring conducive environments for effective teaching and learning.
