The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested two Nigerian Air Force personnel and two civilians over the alleged torture and death of Joseph Isaac Fada, a 28-year-old filling station attendant.

The suspects include Sergeant Achibong Friday Udoh and Lance Corporal Ayodele Glory Blessing of the Nigerian Air Force, alongside Amina Abdurrazaq and a woman identified simply as Maryam.

According to reports by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the incident began on April 30, 2025, when Amina Abdurrazaq, manager of Albash Filling Station located along Airport Road in Kaduna, accused Fada of mismanaging N335,522 from fuel sales. Instead of reporting the matter to the police, she allegedly handed him over to Air Force personnel stationed at a nearby checkpoint under the 413 Force Protection Group.

Fada was reportedly held in custody overnight, during which he was allegedly tortured. He was later taken to a local patent medicine store for treatment, where he eventually died.

Following public concern and the gravity of the allegations, the case was moved from the Airport Division to the state police headquarters for thorough investigation. The suspects have since been taken into custody, while Fada’s remains have been deposited for autopsy.
